The beach pebble lies on the glinting granitic sand, a dull brown red speckled with pink, until a ripple submerges it. Suddenly the piece of rock becomes a vibrant speckled breast of shingle, almost ready to take wings and leap into flight.
The warehouse doors opening into the void of the yard at all levels create a blue painted mosaic across the granite walls. The pattern is not quite ordered, as if it has a message that I can view but not understand.
