Tidelines

Each wave from the retreating tide leaves a borderline of pale flecked foam and fine grains, fixed by the baking heat. The sand gives the appearance of a giant crazed slab of rock, cracked by tectonic forces subtle and delicate beyond belief and repaired by a single thin screed filling each gap.
